AdBlock, not to be confused with Adblock Plus, is the ad blocker I use in Google Chrome. I read a bunch of reviews before choosing which one to install, and most of the reviews that I read had AdBlock as the top option.
AdBlock is really useful because it can block normal pop up ads, as well as video ads on Youtube. Most ad blockers can block the easy pop up ads, but they struggle with the video ads on Youtube. Also, AdBlock is convenient to use because it can be downloaded as a Google Chrome extension; this makes it very easy to turn on and off, as well as being easy to install.
From most of the reviews I read, AdBlock and Adblock Plus seem to be the two best options; the only reason I chose to use Adblock is that I read a review saying that Adblock Plus accepts money from publishers to whitelist ads. While I do not know if this is true or not (and it might not be because there are many websites that recommend Adblock Plus as the top option), I decided just to go with AdBlock. For me, it is a really good option, and once I chose it, I just have not had the need to use any other ad blocker.
Ultimately, I would once again do your own research to see which option is the best for you and your own needs, but be sure to check out AdBlock as a good initial option.
