Podcasts: 30 for 30

30 for 30 Podcasts is a podcast series produced by ESPN. Many of you may already be familiar with the 30 for 30 TV Series, which are also great. These include the recently shown Bruce Lee, “Be Water Documentary“.

30 for 30 Podcasts is hosted by Jody Avirgan, and it has forty or so episodes in total. Each of the episodes typically covers a different story from sports history, although there are some series which can run 5-7 episodes.

The most recent series of 30 for 30 Podcasts was about US Gymnastics, and the Karolyis’ in particular. While I have not had the chance to listen to all of the episodes yet, some of my favorite previous episodes include episodes about poker, Madden, Rickey Henderson, and UFC.

All of the episodes cover super interesting topics related to sports, but they don’t really have any common theme. The only overlap the episodes share is that they are all great stories that have been well researched and produced by an excellent team. I would say that all of the episodes I have listened to have been super interesting, and I have learned about topics I would have never researched otherwise.

If you are a sports fan who is interested in learning about any type of sports story, I would highly recommend this podcast. Also, for any fans of 30 for 30 TV series, this is also a must listen to podcast.

Hi,
This is a blog for myself (and hopefully others) to keep track of all of the places, restaurants, books, movies, etc. that I do not want to forget. I am a college student who has lived in the US, Asia, and Europe for extended periods of time; I am very lucky to have had these experiences, and I want to share my recommendations with people interested in any of these locations.

NONE of these posts are advertisements. I do not have any discount codes or promotions for anything I write about; however, this should be considered a positive because it means that everything I write about reflects my true feelings. In order to keep this blog positive, my posts will only be recommendations for the things I enjoy the most in life. The topics will vary between whatever subjects I am interested in at a certain time, and I will have 1-2 new posts per day.

I wish I could have started this project earlier while some of my memories were fresher in my mind, but it is better late than never. I hope that other people will have the chance to visit or experience things that I write about, and I hope that people will have a similar taste in life to myself!
