Best Restaurants to Eat at in Honolulu: Shaloha Pita

Shaloha PITA is a Mediterranean restaurant in Honolulu, which makes it relatively unique. While there a couple of other Greek/Mediterranean restaurants I know of, I think Shaloha PITA is the best one.

The menu is really simple, as they only have 6 different plates. Each of the plates comes with rice, hummus, vegetables, and Pita Bread.

My personal favorites are the Shawarma plate, the eggplant plate, and the schnitzel plate, but it really just depends on what type of ingredients you prefer. All of the plates taste really fresh and aren’t too heavy when you eat them. The plates are all $17 or so, so they are on the more expensive side; however, the portions they give are really big, and I think that is why they are a bit pricey.

My family has only done takeout from Shaloha, so I have never been inside. However, according to the Yelp reviews and pictures, the restaurant seems more like a takeout place rather than a dine-in, as they only have about 3 tables or so. It is a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant, and definitely the type of restaurant that is good to support nowadays.

If you are ever in the mood for some Mediterranean food in Honolulu, Shaloha PITA is a good option!

Shaloha Pita Recommendation Rating: 3

1: Something worth checking out if you have time

2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone

3: Something worth prioritizing if interested

4: Something worth making time to check out

5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for
