A lot of people say that Onos Seafood is the most popular poke place (for good reason) in Honolulu, and this has been true for many years. Recently though, a lot of people I know have been going to another poke place a lot. It is called Off the Hook Poke Market, and it is located in Manoa.

I went to Off the Hook Poke Market a couple of months ago, and while I thought it was good, I didn’t think it was that outstanding compared to some of the other poke places in Hawaii (almost all poke places in Hawaii are quite good). However, this past week, I went to Off the Hook again and got the spicy ahi bowl. This time, I was really impressed, and I would consider it one of the best poke places in Hawaii (if not the best). I can see why there is a lot of hype surrounding the restaurant, and why it is always busy.

I have not gotten to try a lot of their items, so I do not know how their other poke options are. However, their spicy ahi was really good, and I really liked the sauce and the fish quality (the sauce wasn’t too heavy, but it had a good flavor). Also, you can get toppings such as furikake, tobiko, tempura flakes, etc.

Off the Hook has about 400 reviews on Yelp with a 4.5 star rating, and I feel like more and more people are starting to find out about the restaurant. Nowadays, most of the Instagram stories I see about poke tend to come from Off the Hook Poke Market. If you are in Hawaii and looking to try some of the best poke restaurants in Hawaii, I would definitely recommend Off the Hook!
