Noble Boys is an 18-episode drama available to watch on Rakuten Viki. Each episode is only 15 minutes long, so it is a super binge-watchable show (in total it comes out to about 4 hours or so of watching).
Noble Boys is about 4 boys who come from extremely wealthy families (and who all grew up together) who are just starting on their path to succeeding their family businesses. One of the boys is going to take over a sushi chain, another a pharmaceutical company, etc; they all are some of the most prominent businesses in Japan.
To get good publicity about themselves before they start their careers, they decide to join a TV show. This TV show is called “Noble Boys”, and on it they are supposed to each find wives for themselves. However, how much is for show, and how much is for real is to be determined later. There is also a 5th member who grew up with them (she is a girl), who is running the behind the scenes and helping to direct the show.
Noble Boys is kind of a cheesy romance show, but I found it very entertaining and found the short format to be really unique and interesting. It is similar to the format of super quick shows that Quibi tried to start for American shows, even though that ended up failing. If you are looking for a short, binge-watchable Japanese show, Noble Boys is a one to try!
