Since I have been pretty busy recently, I have not had as much time to write new blog posts. While I am still constantly finding new things I love to recommend, I wanted to share some of my previous favorite recommendations. Over the course of this blog, I have now written over a year’s worth of posts (378 and counting), so you may have missed some of these along the way!

Nabeyo Maido is my favorite shabu-shabu restaurant in Hawaii. At Nabeyo Maido, the Paitan broth is so flavorful that I do not even need the dipping sauces (for most other shabu-shabu places I need to use sesame sauce to get enough flavor).
When I go to Nabeyo Maido, I always order the same dishes; the Paitan broth, lots of pork belly, and lots of won bok. I also get some dumplings and ramen noodles, but those are about the only ingredients I ever order. It is such a simple combination, but the Paitan broth is so good that I do not need anything else.
Recently, my family has just been doing takeout of the Paitan broth and some other ingredients since we cannot go into the shop anymore. Takeout is still really good, and it is almost as good as being in the restaurant. Once the restaurant opens back up though, I would love to go back to support it; also, the restaurant has a “cave” section that has all the ingredients to pick out and bring back to your table.
Nabeyo Maido is one of my favorite restaurants in Honolulu, and it has been for a long time. I would love to see other people support it, as it is a small, local-owned restaurant! Be sure to check it out if you are ever in Honolulu!
This is a blog for myself (and hopefully others) to keep track of all of the places, restaurants, books, movies, etc. that I do not want to forget. I am a college student who has lived in the US, Asia, and Europe for extended periods of time; I am very lucky to have had these experiences, and I want to share my recommendations with people interested in any of these locations.
NONE of these posts are advertisements. I do not have any discount codes or promotions for anything I write about; however, this should be considered a positive because it means that everything I write about reflects my true feelings. In order to keep this blog positive, my posts will only be recommendations for the things I enjoy the most in life. The topics will vary between whatever subjects I am interested in at a certain time, and I will have 1-2 new posts per day.
I wish I could have started this project earlier while some of my memories were fresher in my mind, but it is better late than never. I hope that other people will have the chance to visit or experience things that I write about, and I hope that people will have a similar taste in life to myself!
