Since I have been pretty busy recently, I have not had as much time to write new blog posts. While I am still constantly finding new things I love to recommend, I wanted to share some of my previous favorite recommendations. Over the course of this blog, I have now written over a year’s worth of posts (411 and counting), so you may have missed some of these along the way!

Kamachiku Udon is an udon restaurant in Nezu, Japan. It is in a hidden location, but it is also a super popular restaurant (so be sure to make reservations or get there way before it opens). It has been written up on websites such as TimeOut, so unfortunately the secret is already out!
The restaurant mostly serves udon, but their tamagoyaki and tempura are also incredible. I would highly recommend trying all 3, but the portions are large so make sure you have someone to split it with. The udon is made fresh everyday, and both the texture and taste of the noodles are great; also, the dipping sauce is really good, which makes the udon taste even better. The tempura is freshly prepared, and the batter is super light and flaky (it is comparable to most good tempura restaurants, even though they specialize in udon).
The architecture of the building is also really cool, as it is an older building, so it seems like you are transported back to the past when you visit. There is even a rock garden outside, which is well maintained and a great view while you are eating. The atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable!
I tried to go back twice during my last visit to Japan, but unfortunately the restaurant was completely full both times. This just shows how popular it is, so be prepared to wait or hopefully get lucky when you visit!
This is a blog for myself (and hopefully others) to keep track of all of the places, restaurants, books, movies, etc. that I do not want to forget. I am a college student who has lived in the US, Asia, and Europe for extended periods of time; I am very lucky to have had these experiences, and I want to share my recommendations with people interested in any of these locations.
NONE of these posts are advertisements. I do not have any discount codes or promotions for anything I write about; however, this should be considered a positive because it means that everything I write about reflects my true feelings. In order to keep this blog positive, my posts will only be recommendations for the things I enjoy the most in life. The topics will vary between whatever subjects I am interested in at a certain time, and I will have 1-2 new posts per day.
I wish I could have started this project earlier while some of my memories were fresher in my mind, but it is better late than never. I hope that other people will have the chance to visit or experience things that I write about, and I hope that people will have a similar taste in life to myself!
