The Promised Neverland is an anime available to watch on Netflix. The Promised Neverland is about a group of kids who learn that their orphanage is not what they thought it was.
The three main characters in The Promised Neverland are Ray, Emma, and Norman, and when they learn about the dark secret of the orphanage they are living in, they come up with a plan to try and escape. The orphanage that they live in is tightly guarded, and the kids at the orphanage all range from ages 3-11. However, Ray, Emma, and Norman are considered geniuses and are among the smartest kids to ever be at the orphanage; if any kids can find a way to escape, it will be them.
It is hard to give details of The Promised Neverland without giving away the entire story. Still, I thought it was a really well done anime, and I was able to get into the story really quickly. There are only 2 seasons, and each season has about 12 episodes of 20 minute length; unlike many other anime, The Promised Neverland is one you can get through very quickly.
The first season of The Promised Neverland is great and definitely worth watching, but a lot of people think that the second season was a significant downgrade. Apparently, the second season does not closely follow the manga, and this leads to some plot holes within the story. While I thought the second season was still entertaining and worth watching, I did think it was noticeably worse than the first season. All in all, the first season of The Promised Neverland is 100% worth watching, but it is up to you whether you want to continue watching in the second season!
The Promised Neverland Season 1 Recommendation Rating: 4
The Promised Neverland Season 2 Recommendation Rating: 2
