Now that the NBA Finals are over and the Bucks are the champions, Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most famous and well-liked players in the NBA. Since he is still young, he is well on his way to taking over the title of the best player in the world from Lebron.

In addition to being a great basketball player, Giannis also has an incredible story of dedication and perseverance. As a Nigerian immigrant going up in Greece, he and his family were not always treated the best and had to work hard just to have food and shelter. There is a story that growing up, Giannis and his brother Thanasis had to share a single pair of basketball shoes even though they were on the same team.

During the NBA All-Star game in 2019, TNT did a special on Giannis called Finding Giannis. Even though it is not updated to reflect his latest achievements, Finding Giannis does an incredible job documenting his story and the difficult, if almost impossible journey he took to the NBA.

After watching Finding Giannis, it is impossible to have anything but appreciation and awe that Giannis made it to the position he is currently in. The video is 21 minutes, and whether you are a basketball fan or not, I would highly recommend watching it!

Finding Giannis Recommendation Rating: 5

This post has now been updated to reflect a new ratings system that I have implemented, which is scored as follows:

1: Something worth checking out if you have time

2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone

3: Something worth prioritizing if interested

4: Something worth making time to check out

5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for
