The NFT craze that really seemed to start in February of this year is still ongoing, and some huge names have started to get into the space as of late. The most recent NFT to hit is called Autograph, and it is a company with a lot of big support behind it.
Autograph is affiliated with athletes such as Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Tony Hawk, Naomi Osaka, and Derek Jeter. Those are just some of the big names who have already signed with the company and plan to release NFT’s in the near future (Brady’s pre-release NFT’s were just released on August 11th).
In addition to the big athletes, Autograph is also in partnership with DraftKings, and all of the initial sales have been done on the DraftKings marketplace. This is a recent innovation from DraftKings, but does a great job of bringing NFT’s to the forefront, and it will help NFT’s get exposure with the sports gambling/fantasy sports crowd as well. Autograph is still in the initial stages, and it remains to be seen what kind of staying power the app might have. However, after having been a part of the Tom Brady NFT launch, I can say that the user interface is really smooth (you queue up for random chances at being able to buy an NFT).
With such big names and prominent companies being affiliated with Autograph, I think it has a great chance to succeed in the future. Now is a great chance to get in at the early stages, and I would recommend at least taking a look. Prices are also reasonable, as it costs only $12 for the cheapest Tom Brady NFT if you were fortunate enough to get it.
Autograph Recommendation Rating: 4
This post has now been updated to reflect a new ratings system that I have implemented, which is scored as follows:
1: Something worth checking out if you have time
2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone
3: Something worth prioritizing if interested
4: Something worth making time to check out
5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for
