Best Anime to Watch on Netflix: Erased

Since I have started to watch anime recently, I thought it would be a good idea to watch the anime versions of some of my favorite Japanese TV shows (in most cases the anime actually comes out first).

One show that I have previously recommended is Erased, which is a Japanese mystery/thriller show. The show is quite popular, but I think most people say the anime is better. After having watched both, I would say they are about equal, and it really just depends on personal preference.

The anime and the show follow similar storylines, although the endings between the two versions are different. It is a unique experience going backwards from the live action to the anime, but each of them has their own unique feel.

Erased is a really easy anime to watch because it is only twelve episodes of 20 minutes each; since the series is so short, the pace is really good and there is a lot of action in each episode. If you are a fan of the TV show or are just looking for a good new anime to watch, Erased on Netflix is worth a try!

Erased (Anime) Recommendation Rating: 4

This post has now been updated to reflect a new ratings system that I have implemented, which is scored as follows:

1: Something worth checking out if you have time

2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone

3: Something worth prioritizing if interested

4: Something worth making time to check out

5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for

  1. Erased is a lot of fun to watch. I also enjoyed the live action version of it.
