Even though I don’t live too far from the grocery store (only 5-10 minutes driving), I have started to use the delivery service Weee! on certain occasions. Although Weee! offers 1-day delivery, if I do not plan ahead, I sometimes have to go to the grocery store if I need ingredients for that day.
If I do take the time to plan though, I enjoy using Weee! because of the convenience it offers. Weee! is an Asian+Hispanic grocery store, but I mainly use it for Asian ingredients. They have most of the noodles, meats, sauces, and vegetables that I am looking for, which saves me a trip to the grocery store. Also, I think that Weee! oftentimes has better prices because they buyings things wholesale, and on average I would say prices are a bit lower than they would be if I went to Nijiya or 99 Ranch.
Another great thing about Weee! is that they have a bunch of signup discounts if you are referred by someone (both the referrer and the referee get $20 off of their first orders). Along with free delivery on any orders over $35, this makes getting groceries delivered even cheaper than they otherwise would be.
If you live in a major metropolitan area, I think Weee! is a great service to try out; I find buying groceries on Weee! to be more cost effective (I can actually plan out in advance what I want), as well as easier (sometimes I need to make trips to different grocery stores to get all of the ingredients I want). While Weee! does not have everything available, they do still have a wide selection that I find to be good enough!
Weee! Recommendation Rating: 4.5
This post has now been updated to reflect a new ratings system that I have implemented, which is scored as follows:
1: Something worth checking out if you have time
2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone
3: Something worth prioritizing if interested
4: Something worth making time to check out
5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for
