Demon Slayer is one of, if not the most popular anime series right now. The first season is available to watch on Netflix already, but the movie and the second season haven’t been uploaded yet (they just came out a couple of months ago).

When I first started watching Demon Slayer, I wasn’t quite sure whether it was my type of anime. Unlike some of my other favorite series such as Hunter x Hunter and Food Wars, Demon Slayer did not immediately catch my attention. It took a few episodes before I decided to commit to watching it all.

The first season of Demon Slayer is good, and it starts to pick up towards the end. However, the movie and the second season are where it really starts to pick up. The movie broke records in Japan, and I know several other anime are following suit because of the movie’s popularity. The second season picks up on this action and takes it even further, and I thought the second season was better than the first (I thought this was a pretty universal take until I heard someone I know say they didn’t like the second season as much).

Right now, only the two seasons and the movie has come out, so it is not a huge time commitment if you want to catch up. The first season is 24 episodes or so, while the second season is only 12, so it won’t be too long of a watch if you decide to binge it!

Demon Slayer Recommendation Rating: 4.5

1: Something worth checking out if you have time

2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone

3: Something worth prioritizing if interested

4: Something worth making time to check out

5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for
