After Wordle really took off, it spawned a lot of clones/copycat games. While a majority of them are probably not very good, there have been a few variations that I have really enjoyed.
The first variation is called Wardle, which is similar to the concept of Wordle but for baseball. Rather than guessing words though, you are trying to guess players. Wardle will then tell you whether you have the correct division, position, team, etc.; it is really only made for hardcore baseball fans who are able to figure out players just from their bio.
The second variation is called Poeltl, which is similar to Wardle but for the NBA. One interesting variation form Wardle is that Poeltl shows you a silhouette of the player, which can be helpful in some cases (although not as helpful as you think it is). This is in addition to some of the other stats the Poeltl shows you about the player as well.
Both Poeltl and Wardle can be really frustrating to play, as both of them sometimes pick obscure players that I have never even heard of. Therefore, I would only recommend trying it if you are a really big sports fan, but if you are and you are looking for something new to play, Poeltl and Wardle are both great options!
Wardle and Poeltl Recommendation Rating: 4
1: Something worth checking out if you have time
2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone
3: Something worth prioritizing if interested
4: Something worth making time to check out
5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for
