Boku No Hero Academia (My Hero Academia in English) is a very popular anime series that I just finished watching. Right now, there are 113 episodes of Boku No Hero Academia that have been released over the course of 5 seasons, with the latest season being released in 2021. The series is still ongoing, although I am not sure when season 6 is going to come out.

After talking with some people, I was surprised to learn that not everyone has very high praise for Boku No Hero Academia; while most people who have watched it enjoy it, there are many people who think it is overrated and not deserving of being considered a top anime. Personally, I really enjoyed watching Boku No Hero Academia and would consider it among my favorite anime. While I wouldn’t put it on the level of Hunter x Hunter and Attack on Titan, I would put it in a tier right below them.

To me, Boku No Hero Academia is similar to Hunter x Hunter, and I think that if you liked one you will like the other. The characters are relatively similar, and I thought the way the story develops is alike as well. The main difference between Hunter x Hunter and Boku No Hero Academia is that the support characters are better developed in Hunter x Hunter, including villains. Hunter x Hunter has some incredible support characters such as Hisoka, Kurapika, as well as my personal favorite villains in the Phantom Troupe. Boku No Hero Academia also has some good side characters, but many of them are relatively weak, throwaway characters; also, I don’t think the villains in Boku No Hero Academia are anywhere near Hunter x Hunter.

With that being said, Boku No Hero Academia does have a core of about 5 characters who I love and think make for a great combo. I enjoyed the story and think that it stays at a high level for the course of the five seasons (and beyond hopefully). If you are looking for a new anime to watch and are willing to put some time into it, Boku No Hero Academia could be a deserving choice!

Boku No Hero Academia Recommendation Rating: 4.5

1: Something worth checking out if you have time

2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone

3: Something worth prioritizing if interested

4: Something worth making time to check out

5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for

Hi,
This is a blog for myself (and hopefully others) to keep track of all of the places, restaurants, books, movies, etc. that I do not want to forget. I am a college student who has lived in the US, Asia, and Europe for extended periods of time; I am very lucky to have had these experiences, and I want to share my recommendations with people interested in any of these locations.

NONE of these posts are advertisements. I do not have any discount codes or promotions for anything I write about; however, this should be considered a positive because it means that everything I write about reflects my true feelings. In order to keep this blog positive, my posts will only be recommendations for the things I enjoy the most in life. The topics will vary between whatever subjects I am interested in at a certain time, and I will have 1-2 new posts per day.

I wish I could have started this project earlier while some of my memories were fresher in my mind, but it is better late than never. I hope that other people will have the chance to visit or experience things that I write about, and I hope that people will have a similar taste in life to myself!
