The Hawaiian Chip Company is a store in Honolulu that specializes in sweet potato and taro chips. In the picture above, you can see the sweet potato chips (the purple ones) and the taro chips (the white ones with purple specks).

The best thing about The Hawaiian Chip Company is that they sell both pre-packaged and freshly made chips. The pre-packaged chips are good to take back if you are not from Hawaii, but the freshly made chips are the ones to try if possible. They normally say it is about a 15-20 minute wait to get the freshly made chips, but oftentimes they are done much quicker than that.

In addition to the chips, when visiting The Hawaiian Chip Company be sure to try the habanero dip. It is a spicy mayo type of dip that goes extremely well with the chips, and it is a must get. One time I went to the store, I also got a local Hawaiian ice cream sandwich that was definitely worth trying!
