I am a big science fiction fan (more fiction than science though, as if it goes too heavy into the details I tend to not understand) and have been looking for a book similar to The Three Body Problem series by Cixin Liu.

I saw that the best audiobook of the year was called Project Hail Mary, so I decided to try it out. Hail Mary is by Andy Weir, who is the author of The Martian (which is famous for later being turned into a movie starring Matt Damon).

I found Hail Mary to be a very interesting book, and although it got science heavy at some parts, it was a pretty easy to understand book even for a science novice. The story may seem a bit cliche, but I thought there were plenty of twists and turns to keep it going. Also, although the general end of the book may seem predictable, it didn’t end quite the way I was envisioning it would (which is a good thing in my opinion).

If you are looking for a science fiction book to listen to on Audible, definitely give Hail Mary a try (the narrator is also quite captivating!).

Project Hail Mary Recommendation Rating: 4

1: Something worth checking out if you have time

2: Something that is a hit for some people, but not a must for everyone

3: Something worth prioritizing if interested

4: Something worth making time to check out

5: An absolute home run, worth going out of your way for
